Outpatient Therapy

At Broad Acres Health and Rehabilitation and Country Terrace Personal Care Home, programming and treatment plans are individually developed to assist individuals who need physical, occupational, or speech therapy, but do not need to be in an inpatient setting.

Physical Therapy – A form of therapy that treats deformity, disease or injury that includes methods of heat, exercises or message rather than medication or surgeries.

Occupational Therapy – A form of therapy for those recuperating from mental or physical illness that encourages rehabilitation through forms of activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting, housekeeping and financial management.

Speech Therapy – A form of therapy that treats speech, communication disorders and swallowing disorders.  Treatment may include physical exercises to strengthen the muscles used in speech (oral-motor work), speech drills to improve clarity, or sound production practice to improve articulation.
